TESLA POWERWALL · CERTIFIED INSTALLATION

Weighing Powerwall against a gas standby generator? We install both — which keeps our sizing advice honest. The short version: batteries win on silence and daily savings, generators win on indefinite runtime, and large properties often pair the two. Powerwall questions we hear most

How long will a Powerwall run my home in an outage?

One Powerwall stores 13.5 kWh — enough to carry a home's essentials (refrigeration, lights, network, and outlets) overnight. Two units cover most homes for a full day, and three carry a whole home through a multi-day outage. We size from your actual usage, not guesswork.

What does Powerwall installation cost?

Installed by our crew: one unit typically runs $13,500–$18,500, two units $21,500–$28,500, and three units $29,500–$38,500 — including the gateway, installation, permits, and utility paperwork. Solar is not included in these ranges. Ready for your exact number? Any quote button on this page sends your request — it takes a minute.

Do I need solar panels for a Powerwall?

No — Powerwall charges from the grid and backs you up on its own. Pairing it with solar lets it recharge during an extended outage and bank your own power daily, and we install both, but solar is optional.

Powerwall or a standby generator — which should I get?

Powerwall is silent, instant, and fuel-free — ideal for typical outages and daily peak-rate savings. A gas generator runs indefinitely through multi-day shutoffs. Larger properties often pair the two. We install both, so our sizing advice is honest — see our whole-home backup page for the full comparison.

Do you handle the permits and utility approval?

Yes — the city permit, PG&E interconnection paperwork, and inspection are all part of the job. You sign, we handle the rest.

Is financing available?

Yes — through our partner Synchrony. Ask about monthly payments when you send your request.
