Schedule generator
maintenance
Book in about a minute — a few taps tell us what you have and what it's doing, and we’ll reach out by email or text to confirm your appointment. Generac and Kohler standby systems only.
1 · YOUR GENERATOR
We service permanently installed Generac and Kohler standby systems — not portable or inverter generators. For portable units, the manufacturer or retailer is your best bet. Have a different standby brand installed? Call (925) 684-8932 and we'll talk it through.
2 · AIR-COOLED OR LIQUID-COOLED?
3 · WHAT’S IT DOING?

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Generator maintenance questions we hear most
What does generator maintenance cost?
A one-time maintenance visit is $399 for air-cooled units and $599 for liquid-cooled units — parts and labor included. On a Fitch maintenance plan, your annual service is covered: plans run $599/yr air-cooled and $999/yr liquid-cooled with priority scheduling, free battery replacements, and extra visits at no charge.
What’s included in a maintenance visit?
Oil change, air filter, battery inspection, full system test, indicator resets, and error-code diagnosis — a complete annual service, not a quick look.
How often does a standby generator need service?
Once a year at minimum — Generac and Kohler both call for annual service, and sooner after heavy run time (a long outage season puts real hours on the engine). Skipped services are the number-one reason generators fail when the power actually goes out.
My generator is showing a red light. What does that mean?
A red light is a fault — the generator won’t back you up until it’s addressed. Book a visit and include the error code or a photo of the display, and we’ll diagnose it on site. If an outage is imminent and you can’t wait, call (925) 684-8932 — 24/7 dispatch.
Do you service my generator’s brand?
We service permanently installed Generac and Kohler standby systems across the greater Bay Area. We don’t service portable or inverter generators. Have a different standby brand? Call us and we’ll talk it through.
Do I need a service agreement to book?
No — one-time visits are welcome and schedule about a week out. Plan members get priority scheduling from the next business day, which matters most during outage season.
Doesn’t my 10-year Generac warranty cover maintenance?
No — warranties and maintenance are different things. Your manufacturer’s warranty covers equipment defects on its own terms; it doesn’t cover maintenance or consumables like oil, filters, spark plugs, or fuses. It’s like a new car: the factory warranty covers the engine, but oil changes are still on you. Manufacturers require regular maintenance per the owner’s manual to keep warranty coverage intact — check your Generac or Kohler warranty documents for exactly what they cover.
