GENERATOR INSTALLATION
IN LOS ALTOS HILLS

Los Altos Hills is acre-minimum country — big properties, long setbacks, and homes that carry serious electrical load. It's also ringed by open space and transmission corridors that put much of the town inside PG&E's shutoff footprint. We install estate-scale Generac systems here sized for the whole property: climate, well and irrigation pumps, gates, networks, EV charging — with placement engineered so you hear the generator only when the grid is down.

How installs work in Los Altos Hills

Permits through the Town of Los Altos Hills building counter — submittals arrive complete with site plan, setbacks, and sound data Acre-lot placement done right: distance from living areas and property lines, screening that satisfies both the town and the landscape architect 26–28kW estate sizing is typical; propane systems with buried tanks where gas service is limited on the larger parcels One CSLB-licensed crew end to end — electrical, gas or propane, pad, startup — no subcontractor parade
02 · WHY HERE

Outages aren't hypothetical

Between the 280 corridor, Page Mill open space, and the wooded western slopes, Los Altos Hills sees real fire-weather shutoffs — and on large properties an outage takes out far more than lights: wells, irrigation, gates, and security all stop. An installed standby system with 10-second automatic transfer makes the entire event invisible.

“Fitch Electric provided outstanding service and high-quality workmanship.”

Los Altos Hills questions we hear most

Our home runs on a well and large electrical service — can you size for that?

Yes — wells, irrigation, and 400A+ services are normal in our estate work. We size from your actual loads and use load management so nothing gets juggled by hand.

Gas service is limited on our road — what then?

Propane. We design the tank siting (buried or screened), size the supply for extended runtime, and manage that install alongside the electrical.

How disruptive is the install on a large property?

A few days of quiet work: pad and gas one day, electrical and transfer switch the next, then inspection and startup. Landscape impact is planned around before we start.
